We are seeking a Full-time Prep position to join our team. This position will be responsible for all the preliminary/preparation work needed prior to washing the parts and trailers for the production assemblies.

Specific job responsibilities include:
- Prepare the parts and trailer surfaces by scraping materials off by using sanding, buffering and cleaning methods
- Smooth surfaces with abrasive materials or tools for finishing
- Perform functions of production assemblies according to production rates with minimal supervision
- Inspect for accuracy and overall appearance prior to the parts and trailers being washed and painted
- Inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify cause of errors or other problems/defects
- Maintain a safety awareness attitude and remain alert to potential hazards
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization by keeping tools, material and equipment in proper places
- Ensure proper safety procedures are followed and personal protective equipment is worn at all times
- Utilize equipment and material to maximize production and minimize costs
- Provide production support in other areas as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 1 + year industry experience including prep or autobody work or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have knowledge of principles of preparing and assembly processes and quality control
- Ability to recognize properly and improperly cleaned and prepared surfaces
- Ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues as they arise
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work with others in a team environment
- Must be organized and have the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to problem solve along with the ability to adjust and learn from mistakes
- Strong attention to detail
- Must possess a positive attitude and willing to learn
